Living with someone who has PTSD, it's a daily task

because you're not sure who you're going to get that day

or what is going to happen that's going to trigger a reaction.

It's not walking on eggshells per se, but there are times

when you almost get a vibe, and you know this person is,

they're not themselves today, something has their attention,

and you just don't know what possible trigger

could set them off, and it takes patience.

It takes patience, and it takes understanding.

And a lot of times, as a child, you don't have that,

you don't understand that yet.

So it can be confusing.

I think confusing would be the best word.

You just don't know, from day to day, who you're going to get.
