Basically, what you have to do is
talk about your trauma.
And then, like, for example,
not being able to go to a crowded Walmart.
You would have to go and be at the Walmart
for as long as you can, and then leave,
and then go back and then see if you can stay longer, and,
or, you know,
sit by the door with your back turned,
or a window with your back turned.
So, it's just a repetitive thing
that you have to keep going in order,
until you feel comfortable.
Now I can go into a HEB, or a grocery store,
or a Walmart and have a woman behind me
with from head to toe covered besides her eyes,
and I don't freak out.
I don't, you know, jump, and look at her weird,
or anything like that, you know.
I can turn around and see her
and tell her good afternoon, or hello,
and not feel
my heart racing one bit.
