The way you were versus the way you are is different,
and there's no two ways about it.
And therapy will help you to learn how you are
and what you need to do
to deal with the things that you're carrying around.
You never get to really
put those things down and be rid of them forever.
That stuff doesn't go away,
but you certainly can learn how to deal with them
within the bounds of who you are.
