Writing, sharing, it gave me a much more better understanding of what occurred in my life.

The CPT program I went through at the VA hospital

requires you to do a lot of writing.

I had to write about things that traumatized me

throughout my life.

Writing about what happened, some of the things

that traumatized me in my life, sharing it

in a group session, and listen to the feedback I was getting,

it helped me to understand that, one, I needed to let it go.

Two, the decision I made, whether it was right or wrong,

it was a done deal, and I needed to move forward.

So by writing about the different scenarios

that happened in my life that traumatized me, it was like

releasing within myself these things that happened

and coming to understand what really happened in my life

and that I didn't, it was not my fault.

And that in itself was very, very powerful to me.

Writing, sharing it, it gave me a better,

much more better understanding of what occurred in my life

and that I was not at fault.

I am not to blame, I need to move forward.
