I think the most common concern that I hear,
and it's said in many different ways, is,
"Will I fall apart if I talk about the trauma?"
So most people, initially, don't think they'll be able
to handle the feelings that are coming
out when they talk about it.
They think that they'll have to go into a lot
of detail right away in a very, sort of, unstructured way,
and so of course, it's really scary.
But the truth is therapy takes place
in a safe, controlled environment, and you only go as far
as you feel comfortable going at any point.
