A lot of people have fears that people aren't going to want to
hire them or that their relationships have deteriorated
to a point where they can no longer continue,
and they worry that they'll be thought that they're crazy
or that they're all alone in these symptoms,
so they keep it to themselves, and it just gets worse.
They stay stuck like that.
So when you go through treatment, when you go through
therapy, at first it can be a little hard.
At first it's going to seem like you're going to have more
emotions, and a lot of times people will say,
"I'm getting worse before I get better."
And sometimes family members will call me and say,
"What are you doing in there?
He's getting worse, he's not getting better."
And that would be natural to have that in the beginning,
but then over time as you continue to work on things,
you're going to see that you're not crazy after all,
that no one is going to lock you up, that things get better
over time when you move forward and address them
like you would in treatment, instead of withdrawing
and holding everything in.
