Why should I trust you?

Dr. Juliette Harik, Clinical Psychologist, answers common questions about PTSD.

Transcript

If you have PTSD, one of the things

that you likely struggle with is trusting other people,

and that's so natural and it's so understandable.

And it can be really hard to come into treatment

and meet with someone for the first time

and be expected to trust them.

And I get it, you don't know this person,

you don't have any history with them.

But you don't have any reason not to trust them.

You know that they've been through excellent training,

they know how to treat PTSD.

So, if you can give them a chance

and take it session by session and see how it goes,

you really might be able to get some benefit from treatment.
