When I was diagnosed with PTSD, I wouldn't say I was surprised.

I was relieved because that meant I wasn't crazy.

See, it always boils down to crazy.

And I was glad that there was a name for it.

That really, really helped, but on the other hand, you know,

it's almost like being diagnosed with cancer.

It's like hey, you know, it's a disorder.

You know, this isn't going away.

And at least, that's what I heard, you know.

And OK, so maybe if PTSD doesn't necessarily go away,

the symptoms are manageable.
