When I walked into his office, I really was ready to leave.

I didn't know what to expect.

I was afraid that they would start to get into things

that I really wasn't prepared to get into at the time.

And when I walked into his office,

I really was ready to leave.

It was a very difficult thing for me to simply say,

"All right, I'll sit down and I'll stay."

And I think the counselor knew that.

And because of his manner, just the way he put me

at ease, enabled me to stay.

Had he not been as open and friendly as he was,

had he not been someone who could explain or begin

to explain the fact that he understood what I was feeling

and that he felt that at this point, it was a normal feeling

for me to feel that way and that we would have a chance to deal

with those feelings and try to see if I could come to grips

with it and come to grips with the people that I was affecting,

my family, people at work and so on.

But it was a very scary moment to walk in

and start to deal with issues.
