What really
helped was putting it

into context of combat again
and your beliefs

and what could have happened
had you not done this

and what could you have done
differently.

And I realized that I suppressed
a lot of the information

around the event anyway.

So talking about it through

cognitive processing therapy
and in a safe environment.

And actually

the more I talked about it,
the more I remembered

about the event.

And it honestly helped me

kind of exonerate
myself in a lot of ways.
