What if it was my fault?

Dr. Martha Schmitz, Clinical Psychologist, answers common questions about PTSD.

Transcript

Some Veterans really feel almost guilty

to come in for treatment.

They feel, somehow, that there may be fellow Veterans

that deserve it more or have had physical injuries,

that somehow, whatever their issue is doesn't count

or doesn't warrant the kind of attention

and care that another Veteran's might.

I strongly encourage you to come in and get care.

There's enough treatment to go around for everyone,

and the sooner that you get treatment,

the more likely it is that you'll feel better

and get on with your life.
