The provider that I
did my trauma treatment

with was Caucasian, but...

She was diverse.

She had treated African-American's,
she had treated Latinas.

She had treated a vast array of

different individuals.

So when I had first met her, you know,

we talked about those basics.

We talked about transparency,
we talked about trust,

and she knew she had to gain my trust.

In order for anything to happen

and for anything to even jumpstart,

I had to be able to trust her.

And I think what really connected us was,

she had been a single mom as well,

and we would, she, you know,

she would discuss her son,

and that's how literally
we started to just bond.

And she would talk about the craziest,

the crazy things her son would
do that would drive her nuts.

And that's how the relationship started.
