CPT stands for Cognitive Processing Therapy,
so it's a cognitive-behavioral type of therapy,
and cognitive-behavioral just means
that "As I think, so I behave."
The idea behind Cognitive Processing Therapy is that
if we show you how you're thinking and show you that some
of this thinking may be biased by the trauma you experienced,
then perhaps you'll change that thinking
and can allow yourself to open up a little bit,
give yourself some room to move,
and see that things may not be as
black and white as they seem.
