If you are experiencing symptoms of PTSD

and you're afraid to step forward,

the VA is changing and opening new doors.

There's programs where Veterans who have PTSD

are there as peers, embracing each other

and trying to build the connections.

I think a support system is huge in moving forward

and dealing with PTSD, at least for me.

That was what helped me the most,

was getting out of the isolation,

getting out of my depression, and asking for help.

And knowing that PTSD is not me,

it's something that I experience.

I'm not labeled as PTSD.

I am a survivor, and I keep moving forward.

And it is a process, and everybody works at their own pace.

And when you're ready, I think the door is open,

and it is a great place to get help for PTSD.
