So if you're a person,

a Veteran just beginning to
seek treatment within VA,

my first advice would be
to give yourself a break

because VA is huge.

VA is frustrating.

VA is confusing,

but everything that you
need for your health

is there.

Ask for help.

One of the things that I love
walking through the hallways

of the medical center, I
can tell when somebody lost

and I'll be like, "Do you need help?

Where you going?

What you're looking for?"

There are literally hundreds
of Veterans in the VA

that will give you direction.

There are Veterans in
VA that will take you

where you need to go.

It's an experience and it's a process.

Don't expect to get all
your needs met at once.

But it's a gradual process,

and VA is for you.

It's made for you.

The doctors, they work for you.

The social workers work for you.

The receptionists, they're
there to work for you,

and they're not giving you anything.

You've earned this right.

You've earned the right.

Remember that.
