Before [treatment]...I was just existing and not living life at all.

Michael Hardiman (US Army, 1970-1974) describes how treatment for moral injury helped him like himself again.

Transcript

The treatment for moral injury

has always availed itself to me

that I can accept me

a lot better than I did before.

Before I was just

wasting away.

I was just existing
and not living life at all

and not enjoying
the experience of life at all.

I did a lot of things wrong,
but I'm okay with it now.

I know why I did.

I can accept that.

And if I can accept that, then
I can go head on and be Michael.

And I like being Michael.
