Treatment will look different for different people.

Dr. Laura Gibson (Clinical Psychologist) describes PTSD treatment.

Transcript

Treatment will look different

for different people.

We individualize it depending

on your individual needs.

So for some people it might mean coming

into the clinic for weekly

individual sessions. For other people,

it might be group treatment.

For some folks, it may be very specific

to PTSD. For other people it might include

a focus on reducing drinking or it might

include couple's therapy to deal with marital problems.

For some folks, they're not ready to commit

to coming to the clinic on a weekly basis

and they might just be ready to sort of

dip their toe in the water and do a

peer activity group, which would help

them to engage with other peers.

So the important thing to know is that

it will be individualized based on your needs.
