I followed people home to their home because I was angry
at the way, the disrespect that they showed me on the road
by not getting out of the way, or getting in my way,
or something like that, cutting me off.
And through anger management
I learned about those triggers.
I recently, when I say recently, last year, had an incident,
a traffic situation where somebody was physically challenging
me, and I amazed myself that I calmly just said, "OK."
This is a situation where I could at one time
have gotten in trouble, and I was OK with it.
It wasn't like I was questioning myself whether I
should accept this challenge, was I less of a man if I didn't?
And I was able just to walk away from it
and felt good about it afterwards.
And that was directly from my time
doing anger management up at the VA.
