Therapy and the medication...may be complimentary.

Transcript

It's not unusual for people taking medication

to also receive psychotherapy, and vice versa.

We believe that the therapy and the medication

work through different mechanisms

and that they may be actually complimentary to one another.

So again, it's not that unusual.

Sometimes, a person who is on medication

when he or she starts psychotherapy,

after having a successful course of psychotherapy,

that's a good time to see whether or not

they still need the medication.

But the bottom line is a number of people are benefitting

from combined psychotherapy and medication.
