After talking to my counselor for several sessions,
I realized that he knew
more than what I gave him credit for.
So talking to him became a lot easier,
and even though he'd never served,
he counseled or talked to other veterans.
So he was familiar with what stories I was telling him,
or what I'd experienced because
he's heard it before.
And I gave him the benefit of the doubt,
I kept talking to him.
And it turned out to be a good thing, in the long run.
