Say that if you aren't driving right now, we would slowly

get you, so maybe we expose you to being in a car,

and we have you do that for homework.

The next step is that we have you ride as a passenger

in a car, that may be the next homework.

And we move up this sort of hierarchy

from zero to 100 based on how you're feeling.

So we take you to the next step, higher, higher on the

hierarchy until you're more comfortable, until we've

introduced you to all of those situations that you've avoided.

So the next thing, because this is the

highest on the hierarchy, may be driving,

so we ask you to do that as a homework assignment.

And so those are the ways that we would

work with that particular trauma.
