It wasn't hard for me to come to the realization

that I needed help.

I can appreciate why it would be for others frankly

because in the military,

the military culture in my experience

is, you know, "Suck it up."

In the mission, "Strap it on, we're going over the border."

it's just the culture.

Don't admit that you need help necessarily.

I've met a lot of folks who are concerned about how

being diagnosed or evaluated from a medical perspective

may affect their promotion or career path.

To the folks I know I would say,

"Seek help, it's worth it."

I have a number of friends today

whom I continue to encourage to seek help.
