Reach out for the help.

Dr. Kristy Center, Clinical Psychologist, shares advice for people who may be concerned about PTSD.

Transcript

My one piece of advice to you or your family members

if you're struggling is to actually reach out for the help.

It can be a really scary thing.

It can be a macho thing, a military thing to not reach out

and ask for help, that you should be able to do it

by yourself, but know that this help is out there

and that it's useful.

If you were diagnosed with a medical condition,

most people would go to a doctor without hesitancy.

Treat it like that.

This is diagnosable like a medical condition,

and it can be curable like a medical condition.
