It can affect a marriage.

And as much as you don't want to try to let it,

sometimes it creeps in and can certainly make things

harder than they need to be.

I think, more than anything, it's just,

you have to figure out the ways to get around it

because there's always going to be challenges,

but I believe there's always a remedy

and a way around those challenges, too.

Like I said, for us, it was knowing, kind of,

where to draw the line because when she gets upset,

she gets to a certain point where it's hard for her

to control her anger and her emotions.

And she knows, she can feel when she gets to that point,

and so we've created a safe word, in fact,

for her to let me know when she's getting to that point,

and we take a 15- or 20-minute break from our discussion

and then re-visit it once she's feeling better.

Just as an example of something that we do.
