PTSD is a condition that can develop

after someone has been through a trauma.

During a trauma, people see their lives

or other people's lives as in danger.

They can feel a sense of fear, helplessness,

and a loss of control.

Sometimes, people can even, sort of,

psychically remove themselves from a situation

because it's so overwhelming.
