At our clinic, we have a phase model.

Dr. Patrick Reilly (Clinical Psychologist) describes PTSD treatment.

Transcript

The treatment is a gradual process, and it's not something

that you would be pushed into before you're ready.

At our clinic, we have a phase model,

we call it a phase model of treatment.

So when people come in, they'll first meet with

a counselor, and we'll get some background information

about your life and what your symptoms are.

And from there, we would have you go to our classes.

We have a PTSD class, and in that class

people learn a lot about what PTSD is,

what the symptoms are, what some of the treatments are.

So that's really a good way to kind of introduce people

kind of gradually into the bigger treatment picture.
