It seemed to me that the only problem in my life was this

irrational anger that would erupt from time to time.

And I didn't understand it until I understood that I had PTSD,

and anger is a common symptom of PTSD.

Once I began treatment, I found that

I became so much more patient, and the chronic irritation

with life and circumstances that I felt,

and particularly my tendency to erupt toward total strangers --

I was more careful with the people I loved, but I would

erupt with strangers -- that really began to go away.

And that is so wonderful because I had just about

given up hope that anything would help me with that.
