It seemed to me that the only problem in my life was this
irrational anger that would erupt from time to time.
And I didn't understand it until I understood that I had PTSD,
and anger is a common symptom of PTSD.
Once I began treatment, I found that
I became so much more patient, and the chronic irritation
with life and circumstances that I felt,
and particularly my tendency to erupt toward total strangers --
I was more careful with the people I loved, but I would
erupt with strangers -- that really began to go away.
And that is so wonderful because I had just about
given up hope that anything would help me with that.
