Now, I'm at peace with it.

Arthur Jefferson (US Army, 1978 - 1998) talks about how PTSD treatment can help.

Transcript

Yes, I do feel like I still have PTSD,

but I am in control of it now.

Whenever I wake up of the dream, the trauma,

I don't have a problem with dealing with it.

Before, I couldn't deal with it, I didn't want to

talk about it, but now I'm at peace with it.

I can talk about it, as long as

someone want to listen to it I can talk about it.

Before, I couldn't do that, I could not do that before.

Now, I'm OK with it, and I know the trauma will always

be there because it was something that I was exposed to.

I didn't plan for it to happen, but it happened.

And before there was some type of treatment,

I didn't know how to deal with it, I just put it on the shelf.

But now I can take it off the shelf

and put it back on the shelf.
