My PTSD goes all the way back to the Korean War.

I'm probably one of the very few living persons

that has lived with this.

After the Korean War, they didn't call it PTSD.

They didn't even know what it was, they called it

"battle fatigue" or something, and as a matter of fact,

if you made any mention of this, it probably

worked against you for promotion and professionalism.

So, I didn't make a lot of noise about what was wrong with me,

but I knew I had to live with it, and I did live with it,

but that didn't make it any easier.

Invariably, soldiers think generals walk on water, but that

ain't true, they are just another person like everybody else.

PTSD, it doesn't give a damn about your rank, it's just

going to knock the hell out of you every now and then.
