My name is Jeffrey Jones.
I was in the United States Army.
I served in the United States Army.
I was a part of a task
force, Operation Victory.
We came in after Desert Storm.
And I served in 108th, in
my 8th Infantry Division
out of Camp Doha, Kuwait.
I was a message delivery carrier
while I was over in the
Middle East, over in Kuwait.
And my job was to take
messages, to deliver
messages to outpost communication centers
that we could not send encrypted.
So we had to hand deliver these messages.
And I had the task of traveling
through the notorious Death Valley.
And I had to make several runs per week
through Death Valley.
And that alone, you know,
created a lot of anxiety.
A lot of anxiety.
