My name is Jeff McDowell, retired 1st Sergeant
with the 41st Brigade down in, I guess, now it's in Eugene,
Oregon is where the Headquarter unit is at.
Was in for 23 years in the Army National Guard.
Deployed twice in the Middle East, once in 2000 into Kuwait
and the second time was in 2004, 2005 Baghdad, Iraq,
Operation OEF 2 which was the part that covers turning
over the country back to the Iraqis in the first election,
Sadr City, and all the good ones, Fallujah.
[laughs] All the good stuff.
I was an E8 but as a Scout Platoon Sergeant,
our group was Scout snipers.
I was in that position for like almost 14 years probably,
by the time from beginning to end.
