My name is David Kendrick,
19 Delta Calvary Scout stationed
at Fort Carson, Colorado.
Assigned to the 361st Calvary Regiment
out of Fort Carson, Colorado.
Did my basic training
at Fort Knox in 2005.
Graduated in 2006.
I was assigned to the
361st Calvary Regiment
in January of 2006.
And my unit deployed to
Iraq in October of 2006.
(chuckling) I loved it.
When I joined-
Well, before I joined, I
told my recruiter, I said,
"I'm 18 years old.
It's 2005.
I want action, and I wanna come back
with a story to tell."
And I got it.
I got one.
