[My Husband] was exhausted.

Penny Anderson, US Army 1985 - 1994, 1996 - 2013, talks about how her PTSD affected her loved ones.

Transcript

My PTSD absolutely

negatively affected my family in the beginning.

My family was afraid of what I was going to say.

My family, who I had been so supportive of

for so many years received a wife

and a mother who was now viscous verbally, viscous.

My husband had promised to take care of me

and help me through all of this.

And there got to be a point where

he was tired, he was exhausted

from feeling all of my pain

and taking all of my wrath.
