I did not know, and my husband did have to tell me.

What he said was, "Penny you've worked in

"the mental health field for so long,

"these are the signs and the symptoms of PTSD.

"You need to talk with someone.

"You wanting to kill yourself is not normal."

He was telling me, he was very supportive,

"I love you."

"You're a wonderful person."

"You're my partner

"and you shouldn't feel this bad."

And it was that support system,

that love that actually allowed me to go seek help.
