When I was first told that there was a possibility

of me having PTSD, I was in a very strong denial because

my concept of people having PTSD was someone who

wasn't mentally stable.

And I sort of figured that a person of my background,

with being in leadership positions, both as a civilian

and military, and having a good college education,

I was not mentally unstable.

And I know that I had a anger issue.

I had problems with establishing relationships with people,

and the solution to me was to always drink a lot

to solve all my problems, dealing with people at my job

or dealing with things in the community.

And it wasn't until I went to the VA and they gave me

a new counselor, a therapist, who, I thank God for her

to this very day because she saved my life.
