My children know, not the whole story, but they know enough

to where they're very comfortable with me.

When they see me getting shaky, I can get up and excuse myself,

go out in the backyard, maybe have a cigarette,

go for a little walk and I come back in 15 minutes

and they're all happy to see me.

They see that I'm calmed down again and they know, "Oh,

Dad had an attack, but look at how Dad dealt with it.

No one got hurt, no one yelled or screamed.

Everything's very pleasant and we can go on with the day

like nothing happened," which is the way it can get.

I don't want to say it will be, but it can get

that way for everyone.

You just got to work hard at it, like I have.
