So my Buddhist practice helps me ground

and helps me to have that
space to do that meditation.

But the evidence based therapy also helps

because it helps you

with other keys that
might help unlock things,

unlock feelings, emotions, or processing

to help you if you do decide to do it

as an additional meditation.

So I think both of those go hand in hand.

When I went through the
prolonged exposure therapy,

if it wasn't for my Buddhist
practice of being able

to feel when my heart rate was going up,

or feel when I was starting to get anxious

and automatically kicking
in my meditation practice

of coming back to my breath as my anchor,

I wouldn't have been able to go

and share the things that I did.
