Most people have a host of goals...

Dr. Laura Gibson (Clinical Psychologist) explains how PTSD treatment can improve your life.

Transcript

Almost everybody who comes to treatment

wants to reduce their symptoms. So a goal

for most people would be to reduce the

frequency and intensity of their PTSD symptoms.

But most people also have a whole host

of other goals. So those goals

might be learning to tolerate sitting

in a college classroom or learning

to tolerate taking my child to the fair

when there are a lot of crowds around

or learning to sleep without sleep medication

or reducing my drinking.

So goals again will be really individually tailored

to your needs and what you're wanting to focus on.
