I was talking to a young Marine
and she was telling me
that her family was all like,
"Just get over it already."
You know, it's not so simple.
It's not that easy to do.
And the thing is also with Asian culture,
we also believe in spirits.
We also believe in, you know,
seeing ghosts or things like that.
And so she was telling me
that she would be able to see
the spirits of the dead
people that were haunting her,
you know, and that's a
big part of our guilt,
you know, whether it's survivor's
guilt, whether it's guilt
because we did something
during our time in service.
So the more that we work
with our cultural beliefs
and we have the support
of our faith system,
the more that we're gonna be able to heal.
