At the moment, when you're doing it, it's not easy.

Guillermo Sanchez (US Army, 2003 - 2006) talks about what PTSD treatment was like.

Transcript

Usually it's a relief in the sense

that you want to get it out.

But when you're getting it out it's not like you're,

when you're opening up, while you're doing it,

it's not exactly, it's not exactly making you feel good.

You might feel good a few days later or a week later,

two weeks later because that's probably actually what you

should be doing, but at the moment, when you're doing it,

it's not easy and that's what makes it hard is being able

to do it right then and there

because you know that it will suck.

You might not feel well right after it.
