When I went into the military
and came home from combat situation,
I was drinking.
I was angry a lot.
I would have nightmares at
night when I was sleeping.
For instance, my uncle
shared a bedroom with me,
and my uncle got to the point
where he became deathly afraid of me
and didn't really know what I was gonna do
in the middle of the night,
'cause I was yelling, kicking, screaming,
punching, you know, cussing and swearing.
And it became so much
that the people at the
local Home Depot knew me
because I was always
in there buying things
to patch up my walls, because
in the middle of the night,
I would be kicking and screaming,
just like I was out on the
battlefield fighting again.
