Life feels better.
I'd be lying to you if I told you
that I didn't have any fears left.
I've been living in fear for 40 years
to a greater or lesser degree, but measurably better.
I can go to the grocery store.
I still don't like Costco, maybe I won't ever like Costco.
There's nothing wrong with Costco,
it's just very crowded and noisy, and unexpected things happen.
And I've had a head injury as well as having PTSD,
so it makes it harder for me.
But if I had to go to Costco, I could.
And there was a long period of time
where I would say things like, "I can't, I just can't."
And turns out, it's not true,
and that's one of the things that you can learn in treatment.
It's one of the things that I learned in treatment.
