Knowing deep down I probably should be in jail for what I did…

Michael Allison (US Marine Corps, 1999-2007) explains how he knew he needed to speak with someone who could help.

Transcript

I needed to connect with someone
that could help bring me

some clarity and explanation
to some of the things that I did

where I could actually come
to grounds with understanding

that because I was struggling
with that for several years.

When you're actually killing

someone,
you're actually hurting someone,

you're actually injuring
someone.

You're making decisions
on your life

or my life, that type of thing.

And knowing deep down where

I probably should be in jail
for what I did,

I probably should not talk about
what I did.

I probably should not

tell anybody about this
because it could affect my life.

So speaking with someone
when it comes

to the moral aspects of things,
it was really

significant for me.
