I've seen so many Veterans who come
in who I initially think are quiet, and shy,
and reserved actually be very funny.
They're animated by the end of treatment.
They're engaged with people in their life.
They're not even who I thought they were, characteristically.
I've seen people come in, you know,
having a new approach toward their health and their bodies
and making all of these changes toward, you know,
really recognizing that they're worth it
and that they deserve to have good lives.
I've seen Veterans reconnect with their family
and become the fathers and the mothers that they want
to be for their children.
And the ripple effects, when I think about even working
with this one individual and how many lives are affected --
in a good way -- after therapy and after treatment, you know,
it just kind of floors me sometimes.
