I've never had somebody where we weren't able to find a medication that made them feel a lot better

Transcript

The important thing to know is that there's no clear answer

to what's the best medication for you when you come in,

which means that you may have to try one or two

or three different medications before you find the one that's

right for you and that you will if you stick with it.

I've never had somebody where we weren't able

to find a medication that made them feel a whole lot better.

So be prepared to have an open mind.

Write down all the questions that you have before you go

in to see the psychiatrist, and if they don't have enough time

to answer them in your first visit

and you don't feel comfortable taking something right away,

come back for another visit.

That's absolutely fine.

I have people who I'll see three, four,

five times before they feel ready to start a medication,

and that's fine with me.
