I've learned to instead of leaving a situation, I've learned to just keep myself in it.

Before,

before I started therapy,

I wasn't able to be

around Muslims that were
in their religious attire.

I would walk into a store.

If they were by me, I
would turn around,

I'd walk right out
of the store.

We could be at the zoo
or at an amusement park

and they'd come by me,

I'd go to the complete
opposite end of the park.

I am getting
better with that.

Now if I walk into the
store and there's,

say Muslims in their
religious attire there,

I still get very,
very anxious.

I still get sweaty, I
still get the clammy palms

and all that,

but I can make it to where
I don't leave the

situation.

I've learned to, instead
of leaving a situation,

I've learned to just
keep myself in it.
