Some of the anxieties and the pressures

of being a minority can be paralyzing.

Even for myself,

the one therapist that I worked with

through my trauma therapy was Caucasian.

But I interviewed her.

I interviewed her like
my life depended on it.

Because here's the one
thing about veterans:

trust and transparency.

If we don't sense that,

we're not gonna talk to you,

we're not gonna open up.
