Dr. Juliette Harik, Clinical Psychologist, shares advice for people who may be concerned about PTSD.

Transcript

- If you think that you might have some symptoms of PTSD,

if you've Googled it and the list of symptoms

that you read about sounds like you're reading

a narrative of yourself, then you say,

"That's me, that's me, that's me,"

then it's time for a conversation with your doctor.

PTSD can share some symptoms with other disorders

and it's not your job to figure out

whether you have PTSD or not.

That's your doctor's job.

They can help diagnose you.

And if you do have PTSD, they can talk with you

about your treatment options

and help you choose a treatment that's right for you.
