We want to stress to our Veterans that
it's never too late to get treatment.
We have our services available for Veterans of all theaters,
Vietnam, Korea, even World War II, and the interventions
are effective for Veterans of all theaters.
Now, I'm not going to lie and say it's easier to treat
PTSD after 30 years than it is after two years.
No, it's harder because avoidance patterns,
the avoidance, remember, the opposite of exposure,
is more ingrained.
But it is treatable, and it's treatable
in a rapid eight- to 15-week time frame.
So, it's never too late.
If you are suffering from symptoms of posttraumatic stress
disorder, you should ask for an evidence-based treatment.
