It wasn't until my wife and I started dating
and she realized my mood swings
and she realized that I would forget a lot of things,
she realized the patterns.
And her job, basically, being a therapist, she understood
the symptoms and kind of pointed it out to me.
And I would take it to offense, you know, that she would
point those things out, and we'd argue about it.
And about a year into our relationship,
it was really bad because
I was starting to realize that
maybe there is something wrong with me.
I thought the nights that I didn't fall asleep were just
because maybe I worked out too late or something,
but she would point things out to me.
Then I started to become more aware
of what was actually going on, and so in 2010, I believe,
was when I actually had my first experience with treatment.
